Bread makers whether vertical or horizontal, would have their own pros and cons but in terms of their own functioning, the horizontal would fit better on this qualification. Not only does it have more functions and settings as a standard bread maker, it also produces a more traditional output like a normal loaf of bread found in grocery stores. The functions would depend of course with their respective brands but most horizontal bread makers would have modern settings and functions.
Vertical bread makers on the other hand would have a little bit off in the traditional side, well it is of course the first models of bread makers ever created, but these are the most robust models and consumes less space in the kitchen because of its top to bottom style instead of right to left. Even though old, these models can still compete with new ones. But sadly, these models are slowly phasing-out because of newer models plus the new features they provides.
These two models would both provide good bread and unique designs, but we can safely say that the best option to suite the modern time today is to choose modernity itself. Horizontal bread makers would suit best not only for its traditional design in output but also to the added features this model provides.
Although a little bit expensive and consumes much greater space in the kitchen, you cannot deny that these type of bread makers produce or cope with the conditions of preparing different kinds of bread like whole-wheat, grain and gluten-free. In general, both of these models are neck and neck making it hard for us to decide which should be the best, but all in all, these two models are both winners in making bread!
